The Construction

What makes a fishing shirt a fishing shirt: the construction.

A fishing shirt isn't a tee with a print on it. These are the fishing-specific build details we engineer into every block — and what each one actually does on a long day on the water. (Factory-stated construction.)

Sun collar & fold-up neck

A stand collar that folds up to shield the back of the neck — the first place anglers burn when they're facing away from the sun.

Vented back yoke (mesh)

A mesh panel under the shoulder yoke dumps heat and moves airflow when you're leaning into a cast, so the shirt doesn't cling wet.

Roll-up sleeve tabs

A button tab holds a long sleeve rolled and secured, so one shirt works fully covered at noon and rolled at dawn without flapping.

Thumb-hole cuffs

A cuff loop keeps the sleeve down over the back of the hand for UV cover while you're rigging, instead of riding up the forearm.

Fishing shirt laid flat, annotated with its construction features

Flat-lock seams

Seams stitched flat against the skin so they don't chafe on a repeated casting motion, and stretch-and-recover with the fabric instead of popping.

Gusseted underarm

A diamond panel under the arm frees the shoulder for the overhead cast and keeps the hem from lifting out of the waistband.

Utility chest pockets

One or two secured chest pockets sized for pliers, a phone or a leader spool, with a mesh or zip closure so nothing goes overboard.

Drop-tail hem

A longer back hem stays tucked when you bend to the cooler or the net, so there's no gap of exposed back.

Every block in the style range above is built on these same details — you pick the silhouette, the fishing-specific construction comes standard.

Fabric Build

The performance fabrics your shirts run on.

Four build options, matched to the shirt style and where it's worn. Pick the build here; the full fiber, weight and weave specs live under fabric technology. (Factory-stated; confirmed on the sample.)

UPF 50+ sun-protection knit fabric
UPF 50+

Sun-Protection Knit

Tight-weave, dyed-in UV block that survives repeated wash; the default for long-sleeve and hooded sun shirts.

Quick-dry moisture-wicking polyester fabric
Quick-Dry

Wicking Poly

Moves splash and sweat to the surface and flashes dry; the base for short-sleeve tees and performance shirts.

Cooling mesh knit fabric
Cooling

Cooling Mesh

Open-structure knit for back yokes, side vents and hot-climate builds.

4-way stretch woven fabric
Stretch

4-Way Stretch Woven

Recovery-memory woven for button-down and hybrid shirts that need shape retention after the cast.

Your Brand On It

Where your logo goes on the shirt — and how we keep it there.

The fabric is half the shirt; your brand is the other half. Here's where a mark can land on a fishing shirt, and the proof it holds. Decoration methods themselves are detailed under custom decoration.

Fishing shirt outline showing eight common logo placement zones Left chest Right chest Left sleeve Right sleeve Stand collar Cuff
  • 8 common placement zones — left/right chest, left/right sleeve, back yoke, back neck-drop, stand collar and cuff; tell us the zone and size, we digitize and lock it to your file.
  • Method routed by zone & fabric — poly panels take dye-sublimation, cotton/blends and spot color take screen or DTF, a clean left-chest or cap takes embroidery — point-named here, spec'd on your tech pack.
  • Free fish-artwork starting library — ~40 fish silhouettes (marlin, tarpon, redfish, snook, trout and more) to build a design around, or send your own art.
  • Print holds through the wash — drag the slider below: a dye-sublimation print new vs after 50+ home washes — dyed into the fiber, so it can't crack or peel off a performance shirt.

  • Men's — S–5XL, a relaxed performance fit with room for a layer under a long-sleeve.
  • Women's — a graded women's cut (not a shrunk men's tee), XS–3XL, with a shaped side seam.
  • Youth — XS–XL youth, the same UPF fabric and construction as the adult blocks.
  • Mix the grid — spread the 100-pc per-style minimum across sizes and both cuts, so a first order is a real size assortment, not 100 of one size.

Mix to 100 per style

A physical shirt sample sews in-house in 7–10 days on the exact fabric; the sample fee credits back against your bulk. Request a sample.

03

Bulk, checked to the sample

Cut, decorated and sewn to your signed-off shirt, with a pre-shipment QC photo report against it.

04

Reorder from a lower minimum

A repeat runs against your logged pattern, fabric lot and print file, from about half the first-order minimum — so batch two matches batch one. Get a quote.

Shirt FAQ

Custom fishing shirt questions, answered.

The questions buyers ask before a first shirt order.

From 100 pcs per style, and you can mix sizes and men's / women's cuts to reach it. Reorders run from about half that.
Yes — dye-sublimation runs on poly; cotton, blends and dark garments route to screen print or DTF, and clean logos take embroidery. Method is picked by fabric and zone.
No — UPF 50+ comes from weave density plus a dyed-in treatment (tested to AATCC 183), so it survives repeated wash rather than washing off.
Yes — every block grades to a true women's cut and a youth run in the same fabric and construction; see the sizing table above.
A first shirt order runs roughly 5–8 weeks brief-to-ship; repeats are faster. The step-by-step timeline is on the home page.
Yes — a physical shirt sample in 7–10 days, sewn on your actual fabric, fee credited back against bulk. Request a sample.
We color-match to your Pantone and hold print color across the run, digitized and locked to your file.
